What equipment needed for tomato processing plant? The equipment required varies depending on the finished product. Here we mainly list the equipment needed to set up a tomato sauce plant.
1. Washing machine
Wash the tomatoes to remove sand and impurities. Usually a drum-type washing machine or a bubble-type washing machine is used. The bubble-type washing machine is more suitable for large-scale washing and has less damage to the surface of tomatoes.
2. Crushing machine
Crush tomatoes into small pieces for subsequent pulping and extraction. The crushing should be uniform to avoid excessive damage to the pulp and seeds.
3. Pulping machine
Pulping the crushed tomatoes further to separate the pulp, seeds and skin. Usually single-pass or multi-pass pulping machines are used, and the configuration is selected according to the required fineness.
4. Mixing tank
Adjust the flavor, concentration and pH of tomato paste. The equipment usually has heating and stirring functions, which is convenient for adding sugar, salt and other condiments.
5. Vacuum Concentrator
Evaporates the water in tomato pulp and concentrates it into tomato paste. Vacuum concentration can lower the boiling point and reduce the impact of high temperature on nutrients and flavor.
6. Sterilizer
The concentrated tomato paste is sterilized at high temperature to ensure product safety and extend shelf life. Tubular sterilizers are often used to adapt to the continuous production of the factory.
7. Packaging machine
Packages the sterilized ketchup into containers (bags, bottles).
